As with every journey, there's the first step. What is making this blog and the results of my hobby possible is one of the best gifts my boyfriend ever surprised me with. It's a Canon EOS 4000D. From what I've read it is a great starter camera that doesn't have all the bells and whistles but is still on the high end when it comes to amateur photography quality. It came with three filters, three lenses, a bag, a tripod, and cleaning supplies. I took a couple of test shots on my cats and with a little fiddling came up with a clean image. I'm hoping to take it out for a proper spin tomorrow, weather permitting...
In the meantime, I subscribed for a Photoshop/Lightroom package to practice with old photos. I've also been reading Reddit forums and watching Youtube videos for tips on this specific camera and photography in general.
